How it works

Four steps to a defensible number.

01
Enter your financial position
Cash in bank, overdraft facilities, and the inflows and outflows you expect over the next six months: AR, PDCs, LCs, trade payables, TR maturities and exceptional items.
02
Receive three runway outputs
Liquidity, Operational and Survival. Each with the formula, a Survivability Index score, and the precise cash-zero date under the current scenario.
03

Apply AR shocks, PDC failures and TR rollover refusals. Activate management responses: collect overdue AR, extend payables, liquidate slow stock, and see the runway move in real time.
04
Download the board PDF
An A4 report with CFO commentary, the three runways, the full cash ladder, stress scenarios, working-capital sensitivity and a recommended board action. Ready to present.

What does the Cash Flow Stress Test do?

This tool tests how your cash position holds up over the coming months under pressure, such as slower customer payments, weaker collections or inventory build-up. It shows how long your cash would last after those shocks, so you can act before liquidity becomes a problem.

How to use it

  1. Enter cash in bank, expected collections and payments for the coming months, receivables, inventory and letters of credit.
  2. Apply stress factors such as customer payment delays, weaker collections or inventory build-up, and test actions such as cost reduction.
  3. See your adjusted runway, and download the full PDF report to keep the results.

Cash Flow Stress Test: questions and answers

What is a cash flow stress test?

It recalculates your cash position under adverse assumptions, such as a drop in sales or slower collections, to show how much headroom you have and when cash would run short.

How often should I run it?

Whenever your trading conditions change, and at least before each budget or financing discussion. A rolling 13-week cash forecast is the usual way to monitor it in between.

What happens to the information I enter?

The calculation runs in your browser. To get the full report you are asked for your contact details; when you send them, your details and your assessment inputs are emailed to Valorin so we can follow up if you want. Nothing is sent before you choose to submit.

Is the result tax or financial advice?

No. The result is an estimate for planning, based only on the figures and answers you enter. It is general information, not legal, tax or financial advice. For a decision, have your position reviewed against your full facts.
